SOA: Beginning of the End or the End of the Beginning?
John Rymer, VP & Principal Analyst, Forrester Research
Abstract:
Recent reports of SOA's death are greatly exaggerated. In fact, Forrester Research's data shows that SOA designs and associated technologies are spreading throughout both corporate and consumer IT. Why? Because SOA enables efficiencies (faster time to market, better quality, maintenance savings) and flexibility (fast business process change, fast business integration) that are not possible with older architectures. Looking ahead, SOA also enables the hottest new application concepts -- cloud computing, decision management, mashups, business events, collaboration. Forrester will share its latest research on SOA adoption trends and business results to highlight the benefits available to all enterprises.

Peter Cole, President and CTO, Green Hat
Abstract:
SOA is still very much in play. Only now you have the benefit of seeing how the game ought to be played.
